Ben Suchy's Slingshot Biathlon Race

Part endurance challenge, part backyard adventure, and part excuse to make questionable decisions in public, the Slingshot Biathlon Race is a one-of-a-kind event dreamed up by North Dakota songwriter and one-man-band performer Ben Suchy.

Competitors ride Mountain Bike on a 2.5 mile single track loop making a pit stop at a  "Slingshot" station— where accuracy matters just as much as speed. Miss the target and you'll pay the price with having to push and run your bike to a penalty cone and back before heading out for another lap.

3 little targets and 5 clay BB's.  1 penalty run to the cone and back for each target missed - and trying to settle your heartbeat and focus with the backdrop of caowbells and rowdy onlookers.   Good Luck!  

Inspired by traditional biathlon events that combine racing with marksmanship, the Slingshot version replaces Olympic seriousness with prairie ingenuity, creative obstacles, and a healthy appreciation for laughter.
